What is so unique about Meta Trader . I have a practice account with FXCM ( about to expire) and so far I am pleased with it. I downloaded the Ninja Turtle but it is dead ..no signal , no quotes , no charts .. need help to resurrect it ....any suggestions..??
Hey ... this forum is very good and so far so good . I like its features especially the spelling function.

Good trading and Chou ..Iridium

Hi Iridium!

The main benefits of MetaTrader are that it is:

1. Easy to learn, very intuitive interface
2. Has a very large community around it, developing indicators and expert advisers
3. Supported by many brokers around the world

MT4 is pretty much the de-facto standard when it comes to trading platforms - it is a great platform to start with on Forex.

There are certainly better, more specialized platforms around, and there is no reason why you couldn't use those other platforms to enjoy and benefit from the Live Trading Room.

What are you referring to by 'Ninja Turtle'? Do you mean NinjaTrader?

Where did you download NinjaTrader from?

If you get it via our website, at http://www.fxinstructor.com/eng/resources/ninja.php - you get a free NinjaTrader license which should activate your copy.

Once thats done, you need to connect it to your account at a broker that NinjaTrader supports (see here: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/su...tionguides.htm )

NinjaTrader is just a charting front-end - you need a separate trading account to use it with.

I have a issue with meta trader, nothing much. When I get out of meta trader my toolbars are all gone and I have to go to the view and then reload them. Not sure how I save them so they come up everytime I start meta trader up.

Thx

Scott, it sounds like your terminal configuration file is somehow corrupted or otherwise screwed up.

Toolbars, window boxes, etc. are governed by terminal.ini in your MetaTrader folder. Find this file, and delete it - see if that helps.

When this terminal.ini file is removed, and you restart Mt4, you will see a messy screen with toolbars all over the place - just rearrange the screen however you like, and hopefully the settings will stick.

Let me know if that helps!
