Thumbs up

Bogdan, this is a great little guide for every trader to keep on their desktop and refer to.

Can't get any less confusing - trading plan preparation is broken down item by item.

Great find!

Default Scalping

Hi everyone,

I've heard a lot of different scalping strategies and read post of forums where people recommend scalping. At the same time, when I was going to open a live account with one of MT4 brokers in States, they openly warned me not to employ any scalping strategies or they will close my account. And I heard from other traders that brokers simply don't allow scalping strategies to use.

Are there any clear definition of scalping, or what brokers consider as scalping on forex?

I don't think I am going to become a scalper, but it would be interesting to understand what it is exactly to avoid it...

Default scalping

scalping is going in and out of a trade looking for 3 to 8 pips gain. This usually happens within few seconds to few minutes. Some brokers actually allows it bcos they make massive spread and commission from u that way.

Happy Trading

Scalping is a trading strategy that attempts to make many profits on small price changes. Traders who implement this strategy will place anywhere from 10 to a couple hundred trades in a single day in the belief that small moves in stock price are easier to catch than large ones.

The main goal is to buy (or sell) a number of shares at the bid (or ask) price and then quickly sell them a few cents higher (or lower) for a profit. Many small profits can easily compound into large gains if a strict exit strategy is used to prevent large losses.

And as what Neyi said, some brokers allow it for the main reason that they make massive spread and commission from the trader on that way..

So good luck to you!
